Those on Centrelink payments are being urged to check if their reporting days and payment periods will be affected over the Australia Day long weekend.
Services Australia said those on the Age Pension, JobSeeker Payment, Disability Support Pension, and Youth Allowance may see changes to their payment and reporting dates.
On top of this, Centrelink service centres and most call centres will close on the Australia Day public holiday on Friday.
“This means your reporting and payment dates may change, and you’ll need to report early,” Services Australia said.
Recipients are urged to check their online Centrelink accounts, which will reveal your new reporting date for the Australia Day reporting period.
The Services Australia website also has a list of reporting dates which may have changed.
When will Centrelink centres close?
Centrelink service centres and most call centres will close on the Australia Day public holiday on Friday, January 26.
However, while physical offices will be shut, you may still use your Centrelink online account through myGov to do the following:
